Creamy Chicken Bacon Ranch Pasta

Creamy Chicken Bacon Ranch Pasta is a meal that is so easy and delicious, you may want to fix it more than once a week!   Chunks of tender chicken, bacon, peas and bow tie pasta are combined in a creamy and delicious cheesy sauce flavored delicately with the scrumptious taste of ranch!

This amazing dish begins with a pound of pasta (I use bow tie) cooked according to package directions.  Toward the end of the cooking time for the pasta, add the peas to the boiling water.  This allows the peas to cook and eliminates the need for another pan!  Once the pasta and peas are done, drain, set aside and keep warm.

You can cook the chicken ahead of time with a little chicken broth (about 1 1/2 cups) and rosemary & garlic seasoning.  Or, if you’re short on time,  a rotisserie chicken from the store will also work well for Creamy Chicken Bacon Ranch Pasta!

To create the creamy, tasty sauce, saute the onion in bacon grease until it’s opaque.  Then, add the cream cheese and stir to melt.  Cut the cream cheese in several small chunks.  This will help it melt quicker.  Once the cream cheese has melted, add the flour and stir to combine, briefly.  Then quickly add the chicken broth and the milk.  Turn the heat up a bit and stir or whisk constantly until the sauce thickens.  Next, add the chunks of chicken to the pan and stir to combine.

Once the chicken is well-coated, add the pasta, peas and bacon.  Stir gently to coat all ingredients.

Creamy Chicken Bacon Ranch Pasta is great served all by itself or paired with a lovely green salad!  YUM!!

Once all ingredients are coated with sauce, Creamy Chicken Bacon Ranch Pasta is ready to serve….

Creamy Chicken Bacon Ranch Pasta

16 oz. bowtie pasta
16 oz. peas, fresh or frozen
1 small onion, diced
1 t. minced garlic
2 T. bacon grease
2 T. flour
8 oz. cream cheese
1 ½ c. chicken broth
1 c. milk
2 T. ranch dressing mix
1 t. rosemary & garlic seasoning
½ t. coarsely ground black pepper
1 ½ lbs. chicken, cooked & chopped
8 oz. bacon, cooked & crumbled
Parmesan cheese, shredded, to taste


  1. Cook pasta according to package directions; add frozen peas to boiling pasta during the last five minutes of cooking; if using fresh peas, add to boiling pasta during the last two minutes of cooking; drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet melt the bacon grease and sauté onion until opaque.
  3. Reduce heat to medium, add the cream cheese to skillet and stir to melt.
  4. Add flour to mixture and stir to combine, and then quickly add the milk and chicken broth to the skillet.
  5. Turn up heat to medium/high and stir or whisk to thicken.
  6. Add the minced garlic, ranch dressing mix, rosemary & garlic seasoning and pepper, then whisk until well combined.
  7. Stir in the cooked chicken, crumbled bacon, pasta and peas. Serve hot, topped with shredded Parmesan cheese to taste.
