If you’re looking for a quick, easy and delicious dish to take to a New Year’s party or special get together, look no further! Easy Peasy Deviled Eggs is just the recipe you’re looking for! This ‘covered dish’ will disappear quickly and earn you lots of compliments!
When it comes to deviled eggs, my family absolutely LOVES them! When I make them for a special family dinner, I cannot just make a single dozen eggs. I have to boil at least two dozen because my family INHALES Easy Peasy Deviled Eggs!
Our family has lots of wonderful memories too, involving my dad and “Please pass the eggs.” Let’s just say that if someone wants Easy Peasy Deviled Eggs, their request is carefully worded and does NOT include ‘pass’. The request is more likely to include”Please hand me the eggs.” At least that way they are less likely to get an eggs tossed at their nose!! LOL Like I said, lots of wonderful memories!
Easy Peasy Deviled Eggs are also quick and easy to make.
The method I use to boil eggs is as follows:
Add eggs to cold water and a 1/2 teaspoon of salt. Bring the water to a boil, cover with lid, then remove from heat. Let sit for nine minutes, then uncover, drain and add cold water to cover eggs. Let sit for approximately ten minutes; then peel and rinse.
Slice eggs horizontally and place in egg carrier. These egg carriers are really handy to have around and make filling the eggs SO much easier!
Mash the yolks with a fork.
The add the mayo, sour cream, relish, mustard, sugar and dill pickle juice! Stir it all together with the fork and viola! Your yummy egg filling is done!
If you’re like me and you don’t like to add the filling to the egg whites with a spoon, then a pastry bag is very handy. Or, if you don’t have a pastry bag, a small plastic bag will work well, too. Simply snip off the corner of the bag. This makes adding the Easy Peasy Deviled Egg filling very quick and easy!
Using a plastic bag also helps make cleanup quick and easy, too!
I hope you all had a Merry Christmas and are enjoying time with your family and friends! I also hope you all enjoy Easy Peasy Deviled Eggs as much as my family and I do! Have a great week andHappy New Year! 🙂 Lisa
