Grandma Evelyn’s Company Meat Balls

Just so you know…..Grandma Evelyn’s Company Meat Balls are absolutely AMAZING!  It’s a relatively quick main dish to put together and bake as directed.  But it would also make a great recipe to ‘bake’ in the slow cooker too!

Of all the yummy meals my mom prepared over the years, this meat ball recipe is one of my all-time favorites!  I’m not sure where my Mom found this recipe, but I gave it the name of Grandma Evelyn’s Company Meat Balls,  because the results of this recipe will certainly be appropriate to serve to any special guests!

Another bonus to this recipe is that the meat balls can be made up ahead of time and frozen.  Simply form the meat mixture into meat balls then place them on a cookie sheet or other pan and place in the freezer.  Once the meat balls are frozen, remove from the cookie sheet and place in a freezer bag.  When you’re ready to use them, simply remove the amount you plan to serve and place in a 9″x13″ baking pan. (Without sides touching).  Allow to thaw while you’re making the sauce.  Top meat balls with the sauce and bake, as directed.  It may take a little longer in the oven to for Grandma Evelyn’s Company Meat Balls to reach an internal temperature of 165’F.

And I have to tell you, the sauce absolutely makes these delicious meat balls.  The addition of prepared mustard gives the sauce just enough tang to set the whole dish off!  Absolutely delicious!

I know that I certainly felt like it was a special occasion when Mom had these yummy meat balls in the oven when I was a kid!  And I can guarantee that my kids absolutely love Grandma Evelyn’s Company Meat Balls!  I’ve had special requests from all five of my kids at one time or another for this yummy dish!  I’m telling you, these meat balls are definitely worth a try!  I hope you and your family will love them just as much as my family and I do!  Have a great week and  Merry Christmas!
