Smoked Sausage and Cabbage

A delicious one skillet meal!

16 oz. pkg. smoked sausage, sliced 1/2 inch thick
1 medium head of cabbage, cored & thickly sliced
1 medium onion, diced
2 t. garlic, minced
1 c. chicken broth
2 T. olive oil
1 T. butter
Salt & pepper to taste
In a large skillet, or Dutch oven, heat the olive oil and melt butter over medium heat.
Add onion and sauté until onion starts to turn opaque and caramelize.
Then add the sliced cabbage, sliced sausage, minced garlic, chicken broth, salt and pepper and stir to combine, then cover to cook.
Continue to cook, stirring occasionally, over medium heat until cabbage is tender and sausage is hot.
