This week’s featured recipe, Smoked Sausage and Cabbage, is a one skillet meal that’s absolutely bursting with flavor! The savory combination of sausage, garlic, onion and cabbage are delicious together! - In a large skillet, or Dutch oven, heat the olive oil and melt butter over medium heat.
- Add onion and sauté until onion starts to turn opaque and caramelize.
- Then add the sliced cabbage, sliced sausage, minced garlic, chicken broth, salt and pepper and stir to combine, then cover to cook.
- Continue to cook, stirring occasionally, over medium heat until cabbage is tender and sausage is hot.
- Remove from heat and serve.
